9/24 - Common Cause
Common Cause is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization that believes that, “to be truly of, by, and for the people, government must reflect everyone it serves.” They believe that every American has a right to help shape their future and the future of their community. Their goal is to build a democracy that works for everyone and to ensure that the government truly serves public interest.
9/25 - LVW
The League of Women Voters of the United States works to empower voters and defend democracy. They help register voters, provide election and public policy information, and encourage informed participation in government. In their own words, “we envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate.”
9/26 - The Brennan Center for Justice
The Brennan Center for Justice is a nonpartisan law and policy organization that works to reform, strengthen, and defend democracy and justice systems in the US. They’ve helped enact automatic voter registration in 16 states, conducted research to change the debate on mass incarceration, helped champion small donor public financing to help give ordinary American citizens greater power in politics, and more.
9/27 - When We All Vote
When We All Vote is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that works to increase voter participation and close the race and age voting gap in the US. Launched in 2018 with co-chairs including Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Janelle Monae, this organization aims to change the culture around voting because, “when we all vote, we all do better.”
